Microsoft ® Windows ® Installer es una aplicación de instalación y configuración de servicios. WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe es el paquete redistribuible para instalar o actualizar Windows Installer. Este paquete revisado sustituye a la publicada previamente redistribuible paquete denominado "WindowsInstaller-KB893803-x86.exe" y se refiere a la cuestión debatida en el artículo KB 898628: Windows Installer no en silencio después de actualizarse a Windows Installer 3.1.
